2% more goods carried in the 1st quarter of 2018 than in the 1st quarter of 2017

In the 1st quarter of 2018 Slovenian goods vehicles carried 1% more goods in national transport and 5% more in international transport than in the 1st quarter of 2017. In the same comparison legal persons performed 1% more tonne-kilometres and natural persons 4% more tonne-kilometres.

In the 1st quarter of 2018 more goods carried and more tonne-kilometres performed than in the same period in 2017

In the 1st quarter of 2018 road goods motor vehicles registered in Slovenia carried 19 million tonnes of goods, performed 5.2 billion tonne-kilometres and travelled 320 million kilometres by loaded vehicles. In comparison with the 1st quarter of 2017, this is 2% more goods carried, 3% more tonne-kilometres performed and 1% more kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.

In national and international transport more goods carried than in the same period of the previous year

In national transport 11 million tonnes of goods were carried, 493.3 million tonne-kilometres were performed and 46.7 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2017, this is 1% more goods carried, 10% fewer tonne-kilometres performed and 2% fewer kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.

In international transport 8 million tonnes of goods were carried, 4.7 billion tonne-kilometres were performed and 273.2 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. In comparison with the same period of the previous year, in the 1st quarter of 2018 5% more goods were carried, 4% more tonne-kilometres were performed and 2% more kilometres were travelled by loaded vehicles.

Legal and natural persons carried more goods than in the previous year

In the 1st quarter of 2018 legal persons carried 13.9 million tonnes of goods or nearly three thirds of all goods and performed 4 billion or 77% of all tonne-kilometres; natural persons carried 5.1 million tonnes of goods or 27% of all goods and performed 1.2 billion or 23% of all tonne-kilometres. In comparison with the 1st quarter of 2017, legal persons carried 1% more goods and performed 3% more tonne-kilometres. In the same comparison, natural persons carried 4% more goods and performed 2% more tonne-kilometres.
