The value of industrial production in February 2018 lower at the monthly level and higher at the annual level
Industrial activity in February 2018 decreased by 0.2% compared to January 2018 and increased by 7.2% compared to February 2017. At the monthly level industrial activity increased in electricity, gas and steam supply (by 2.2%) and decreased in mining and quarrying and in manufacturing (by 12.3% and 0.4%, respectively).
In February 2018 the value of industrial production was 21.4% higher than the average of 2015. As regards technological complexity in manufacturing, the largest long-term increase was recorded in medium-low-technology manufacturing (by 28.3%).

In February 2018 turnover was 2.3% lower at the monthly level and 8.0% higher at the annual level.
As regards main industrial groupings, turnovers at the monthly level decreased in intermediate goods industries as well as in capital goods industries and consumer goods industries. However, at the annual level the largest turnover increase was recorded in capital goods industries (by 20.5%).
In February 2018 the value of stocks of industrial products higher than in the previous month
In February 2018 the value of stocks of finished and unfinished production increased by 0.8% at the monthly level; in manufacturing it increased by 0.9%, while in mining and quarrying it decreased by 43.3%.
At the annual level the value of stocks of industrial products increased by 7.7%. Compared to the 2015 average it increased by 18.7%.
