15% more goods carried in the 3rd quarter of 2017 than in the 3rd quarter of 2016

In the 3rd quarter of 2017 Slovenian goods vehicles carried 18% more goods in national transport and 9% more in international transport than in the 3rd quarter of 2016. In the same comparison legal persons performed 10% more tonne-kilometres and natural persons 28% more tonne-kilometres.

In the 3rd quarter of 2017 more goods carried and more tonne-kilometres performed than in the same period in 2016

In the 3rd quarter of 2017 road goods motor vehicles registered in Slovenia carried 23 million tonnes of goods, performed 5.2 billion tonne-kilometres and travelled 329 million kilometres by loaded vehicles. In comparison with the 3rd quarter of 2016, this is 15% more goods carried, 14% more tonne-kilometres performed and 11% more kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.

In national and international transport more goods carried than in the same period of the previous year

In national transport 15.3 million tonnes of goods were carried, 624.2 million tonne-kilometres were performed and 57.3 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2016, this is 18% more goods carried, 9% more tonne-kilometres performed and 11% more kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.

In international transport 7.6 million tonnes of goods were carried, 4.5 billion tonne-kilometres were performed and 271.5 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. In comparison with the same period of the previous year, in the 3rd quarter of 2017 9% more goods were carried, 14% more tonne-kilometres were performed and 11% more kilometres were travelled by loaded vehicles.

Legal and natural persons carried more goods than in the previous year

In the 3rd quarter of 2017 legal persons carried 15.8 million tonnes of goods or almost two thirds of all goods and performed 3.9 billion or 77% of all tonne-kilometres; natural persons carried 7.2 million tonnes of goods or 31% of all goods and performed 1.2 billion or 23% of all tonne-kilometres. In comparison with the 3rd quarter of 2016, legal persons carried 10% more goods and performed 19% more tonne-kilometres. In the same comparison, natural persons carried 28% more goods and performed 1% fewer tonne-kilometres.
