Volume turnover in retail trade in October 2017 lower at the monthly and higher at the annual level
In October 2017 volume turnover in retail trade declined at the monthly level by 1.3%. The decline was due to a lower turnover in trade with food (by 0.1%) and lower turnover in trade with non-food products (by 0.8%). Compared to the previous month, volume turnover in specialized stores with motor fuels increased by 1.2%.
In October 2017 volume turnover increased by 2.3% compared to the same month of the previous year; this was the lowest growth at the annual level in 2017. Compared to October 2016 volume turnover in retail trade without automotive fuel increased by 3.7%, while in retail trade with automotive fuel it decreased by 1.7%.
In the first ten months of this year volume turnover in retail trade increased by 9.2% compared to the same period of the previous year. Growth was influenced the most by higher turnover in specialized stores with automotive fuel (by 20.7%). Volume turnover was also higher in retail trade with food (by 2.1%) and in retail trade with non-food products (by 5.3%).
Turnover in trade and repair of motor vehicles higher at the monthly and at the annual level
In October 2017 volume turnover in retail trade and wholesale of motor vehicles and their repair increased by 4.8% at the monthly level; this was the second highest growth in 2017. At the same time, annual growth of volume turnover was the highest this year (by 20.7%). Turnover also increased in the first ten months of this year compared to the same period last year (by 15.6%).
