In August 2017, 6,983 passenger cars registered for the first time in Slovenia

In August 2017, 6,983 passenger cars were registered for the first time in Slovenia, 18% more than a year ago. In airport traffic 196,416 passengers were recorded, 19% more than a year ago.

More passengers carried by buses than in August 2016
In August 2017, 945,414 passengers were carried by buses in interurban and international public scheduled transport, which is 5% more than in August 2016.
Buses in urban scheduled transport carried almost 2.9 million passengers in August 2017, 16% more than in August 2016.

In airport traffic more passengers, in air transport fewer passengers carried than a year ago
In August 2017, 196,416 passengers travelled through the Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, 19% more than in August 2016.
In August 2017, 138.072 passengers were carried by the biggest Slovenian air carrier, 17% fewer than in August 2016. With its planes 144 million passenger-kilometres were performed (i.e. down by 22% in the same comparison).

A sixth more passenger cars registered for the first time than a year ago
In August 2017, 9,961 road motor vehicles were registered for the first time in Slovenia, 27% more than in August 2016.
In August 2017, 6,983 passenger cars were registered for the first time in Slovenia, 4,729 of them were new. Compared to August 2016, the number of passenger cars registered for the first time increased by a sixth.

In the 2nd quarter of 2017 more goods carried by rail, but fewer passengers than in the same period of 2016
In the 2ndquarter of 2017, 5.6 million tonnes of goods were carried by rail and 1,346 million tonne-kilometres were performed, which is an 22% increase expressed in tonnes and a 28% increase expressed in tonne-kilometres compared to the 2nd quarter of 2016.
In the 2nd quarter of 2017 almost 3.3 million passengers were carried by Slovene trains, i.e. 5% fewer than in the 2nd quarter of 2016. 168 million passenger-kilometres were performed, i.e. 1% less than in the 2nd quarter of 2016.

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, 12% more goods carried by road than in the same period of 2016
From April to June 2017 goods motor vehicles registered in Slovenia carried 22.6 million tonnes of goods and performed 5.2 billion tonne-kilometres, which is a 12% increase expressed in tonnes and a 9% increase expressed in tonne-kilometres compared to the 2nd quarter of 2016.
