In the second quarter of 2017 5.3% annual increase in the labour costs per hour worked

In the second quarter of 2017 the labour costs per hour worked in Slovenia increased by 5.3% over the same period a year before.

A 5.3% annual increase in the labour costs per hour worked
According to provisional data, in the second quarter of 2017 the labour costs per hour worked in Slovenia increased on average by 5.3% over the second quarter of 2016; wages per hour worked in the same comparison increased by 4.6%.

in activity arts, entertainment and recreation
Compared to the same period of 2016, in the second quarter of 2017 labour costs per hour worked decreased the most in activity agriculture, forestry and fishing (by 9.8%) and in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (by 7.4%), and increased the most in activity arts, entertainment and recreation (by 16.8%) and in financial and insurance activities (by 10.0%).

According to Eurostat data as of 4 September 2017, compared to the first quarter of 2016 in the first quarter of 2017 the labour costs per hour worked (agriculture, forestry and fishing is excluded) increased in almost all EU Member States, except in Finland and in Netherlands, where they decreased by 2.5% and 0.1%, respectively; in Spain and in Luxembourg they remained the same. Labour costs per hour worked increased the most in Romania (by 16.3%) and in Hungary (by 11.0%). In the same comparison the labour costs per hour worked in the EU-28 increased by 1.7% and in Slovenia by 2.9%.
