Prices of Energy Sources, Slovenia, 2nd quarter 2017

In the second quarter of 2017 household consumers in Slovenia paid on average EUR 0.06 for 1 kWh of natural gas.

Average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia increased by 1% between the first and the second quarter of 2017. In the same period average electricity price for household consumers increased by 4%.

The average electricity price for household consumers in Slovenia in the second quarter of 2017 was 0.16 EUR/kWh, which is a 4% increase over the first quarter. The average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers in Slovenia was 0.07 EUR/kWh, i.e. 7% lower than in the first quarter of 2017. 

The average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia in the second quarter of 2017 was 0.06 EUR/kWh, which is a 1% increase over the first quarter. The average natural gas price without value added tax for non-household consumers in the second quarter of 2017 was 0.03 EUR/kWh, which is a 7% decrease over the first quarter. 

Prices of electricity in Slovenia were below the EU average in the 2nd half of 2016
The international comparison of electricity prices for 2nd half of 2016 shows that in Slovenia price with all taxes for household consumers (2500-5000 kWh annual consumption) represented 79% of the EU-28 average and for non-household consumers without VAT (500-2000 MWh annual consumption) 73% of the EU-28 average.

In the same period natural gas price with all taxes for household consumers (20-200 GJ or 5556-55556 kWh annual consumption) represented 89% of the EU-28 average and for non-household consumers without VAT (10000–100000 GJ or 2777778-27777778 kWh annual consumption) exceeded the EU-28 average by 8%.
