In April 2017 the output prices higher at the monthly and at the annual level

In April 2017 the output prices were 0.2% higher than in March 2017 and 2.3% higher than in April 2016.

In April 2017 the output prices 0.2% higher at the monthly level

Compared to March 2017, in April 2017 the output prices were 0.2% higher. The prices of manufactured goods sold on the domestic market went up by 0.3% and the prices of exported products by 0.1%. 

At the monthly level the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the non-euro area countries went up by 0.8%, while the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the euro area countries went down by 0.1%.

Among the groups of activities showing the dynamics of prices by end-use of products, intermediate goods prices and consumer goods prices increased by 0.5%. On the other hand, capital goods prices and energy prices decreased (by 0.6% and 0.4%, respectively).

Compared to the previous month, output prices increased the most in manufacture of basic metals (by 2.1%), followed by manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and preparations (by 1.3%), and manufacture of paper and paper products (by 1.2%).

On the other hand, prices decreased the most in manufacture of motor vehicles and trailers (by 1.7%), and manufacture of coke and petroleum products and manufacture of wearing apparel (each by 1.0%).

The output prices 2.3% higher than a year ago

From April 2016 to April 2017 the output prices went up by 2.3%. In the same period the output prices on the non-domestic market and the output prices on the domestic market increased by 3.2% and 1.3%, respectively.

The prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the non-euro area countries increased by 4.7% and the prices of industrial products sold on the markets of the euro area countries by 2.5%.

In one year prices went up the most in manufacture of textiles (by 26.7%), and in manufacture of basic metals (12.1%) and decreased the most in electricity (by 4.3%).
