Production of wines amounted to 660,000 hectolitres in 2014/2015 marketing year in Slovenia. White wines represented 69% of the total production (slightly more than 455,000 hectolitres).

Regarding the quality distinction of wines, the wines with protected designation of origin represented the highest share in the total domestic production of wines in the market year 2014/2015 (73% or almost 480,000 hectolitres).
