METHODOLOGICAL NOTE

In January 2017 we implemented some methodological changes regarding the import price indices such as weights, the list of products and reporting units.

The weights are based on the customs declarations (Extrastat) and statistical forms (Intrastat) covered by external trade statistics for 2015. For the mentioned recalculation in 2017 the index December 2016 / Ø2015 was used.

The sample of reporting units includes 446 enterprises which report monthly for 1,846 products.
