Increase of total net electricity generation in October compared to September
In October 2015 total net electricity generation was 1380 GWh, compared to September 2015 increased by 9% and consumption was 1176 GWh, compared to September 2015 increased by 6%. Hydro power plants generation increased by 33%, generation in the thermal power plants decreased by 6% and nuclear power plant increased by 4%.
In September 2015 fuel consumption in thermal power plants, increased by 3%.
In October 2015, 722 GWh of electricity was imported and 888 GWh was exported.
Increase of energy supply in October 2015
In October 2015 supply of energy commodities in general went up with exception of Kerosene Jet Fuel supply fell with 21% and Lignite supply fell with 17%. Compared with previous month we further noticed supply rise as 35% with Natural Gas, 19% with LPG, 17% with Heavy Fuel Oil, 7% with Heating and Other Gasoil and 4% with Motor Gasoline.
Share of energy from renewable sources in gross final energy consumption is increasing
The share of energy from renewable sources in gross final energy consumption in 2014 in Slovenia was 21.9%, 6 percentage points higher than in 2004. In the last ten years the share in the heating and cooling sector increased by 15 percentage points, in the electricity sector by 5 percentage points and in the transport sector by 2 percentage points.
