15% more goods carried in the 4th quarter of 2014 than in the 4th quarter of 2013

In the 4th quarter of 2014 Slovenian goods vehicles carried more goods and performed more tonne-kilometres than in the same period of the previous year.

In the 4th quarter of 2014 more goods carried and more tonne-kilometres performed than in the same period in 2013
In the 4th quarter of 2014 road goods motor vehicles registered in Slovenia carried 20.3 million tonnes of goods, performed 4.4 billion tonne-kilometres and travelled 288 million kilometres by loaded vehicles. In comparison with the 4th quarter of 2013, this is 15% more carried goods, 13% more tonne-kilometres performed and 10% more kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.

Both in national and in international transport more goods carried than in the same period of the previous year
In national transport more than 13.8 million tonnes of goods were carried, 580 million tonne-kilometres were performed and 53 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2013, this is 16% more goods carried, 16% more tonne-kilometres performed and 7% more kilometres travelled by loaded vehicles.

In international transport 6.4 million tonnes of goods were carried, 3.9 billion tonne-kilometres were performed and 236 million kilometres with loaded vehicles were travelled. In comparison with the same period of the previous year, in the 4th quarter of 2014 14% more goods were carried, 12% more tonne-kilometres were performed and 10% more kilometres were travelled by loaded vehicles.

Both legal and natural persons carried more goods than in the previous year
In the 4th quarter of 2014 legal persons carried 13 million tonnes of goods or 64% of all goods and performed 2.9 billion or 66% of all tonne-kilometres; natural persons carried 7.4 million tonnes of goods or 36% of all goods and performed 1.5 billion or 34% of all tonne-kilometres. In comparison with the 4th quarter of 2013, legal persons carried 16% more goods and performed 19% more tonne-kilometres. In the same comparison, natural persons carried 14% more goods and performed 2% more tonne-kilometres.
